Which actions earn points?
Points are awarded for actions that genuinely improve the database: new clues, approved solutions, confirmed answers, comments, votes, and community support for your solutions.
Do all actions earn the same number of points?
No. The more useful a contribution is, the more points it earns. For example, a confirmed solution earns more points than a simple comment.
Why does a confirmed solution earn the most?
Because it completes the clue. If the community or a moderator confirms your answer, that is the most useful contribution type.
What are levels and titles for?
The level shows user experience, and the title quickly indicates how actively and usefully they contribute to Tcrosswords.
Can you climb the leaderboard without suggesting your own solutions?
Yes, but more slowly. Votes, comments, and clues also earn points, but users who regularly suggest correct solutions progress faster.
